Dr. Eliya Levinger

Dr. Eliya Levinger is a graduate of the Israeli Technological School of Medicine, Technion, Haifa. He worked diligently on a research project regarding the effect of amino acids on the retina for a number of years. This was his final thesis which was entitled "The Physiology of Vision, "completed through Dean Laboratories. Dr. Eliya Levinger was awarded with honors by his medical school. Dr. Elia Levinger is a Senior Surgeon at Enaim Medical Center, Azrieli, Tel Aviv and at Atidim Medical center, Ramat Hachayal, Tel Aviv. At Ichilov Hospital (Surousky) in Tel Aviv, he serves as medical director of Cataract Surgery Clinic.

Dr. Eliya Levinger completed his internship at the Ophthalmology Center of Carmel Hospital in Haifa, at the same time teaching and supervising medical students.

Following completion of his residency in Ophthalmology, Dr. Levinger pursued his Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Toronto Western Hospital, Toronto, Canada. He completed his course obtaining a wealth of knowledge and experience at Toronto Western which is one of the world's finest, most distinguished establishments in the field of corneal replacement surgery.

In 2007, Dr. Levinger wassummoned by the Georgian Consulate to perform ophthalmic surgery for its citizens, which he expedited voluntarily.

Today, Dr. Levinger performs a diverse range of ophthalmic surgeries including corneal graft, cataract and laser cataract, and refractive laser surgery using the most progressive state of the art equipment available.

Dr. Elia Levinger is a dedicated and longstanding member of the Academy of American Ophthalmologists and the Society of American Cataract Surgeons and Refractive Physicians. For years, he diligently prepares multiple research projects and lectures both in Israel and abroad at a multitude of ophthalmic conventions.

 

Dr. Elia Levinger is a Senior Surgeon at Enaim Medical Center, Azrieli, Tel Aviv and at Atidim Medical center, Ramat Hachayal, Tel Aviv. At Ichilov Hospital (Surousky) in Tel Aviv, he serves as medical director of Cataract Surgery Clinic.

Since 2018, he is the chairman of the Cataract division of the Israeli ophthalmologist's union.
